Water Quality Monitoring

Our network of citizen science volunteers conducts regular water quality monitoring on the Satilla River.

Volunteers monitor multiple sites throughout the watershed monthly for chemical and bacterial parameters, through the Georgia Adopt-A-Stream program. See the most recent water quality results (and historical data) by clicking on the sampling sites in the map below.

Bacteria monitoring results are available through the SwimGuide app or online at SwimGuide.org.

We are also partnering with Georgia Sea Grant/MAREX to sample microplastics in our coastal waters.
